There are countless articles, notes, and literary essays filled with quotations, statistics, patterns, and scientific explanations. This article is a bit different it is merely a call of love from the heart of just another human being.
If you are scientifically literate, the world looks very different to you. And if you don't know history and geography, you're functionally disoriented in the universe.
if i have to explain the topic once again , i believe it would be a huge disrespect for all the bruises every other student have gotten in this movement for freedom. If your social media feed is not flooded with the hashtags then I genuinely want you to question yourself what has your world shrunk into? people have been saying this and they will— right now nobody cares about your aesthetic sense or the cool memes if there is something that will help it is your scream and your speech which will be rhyming with other millions of voices to create an echo , the echo for freedom , of love , for a better world . It will be the same echo our ancestors made in their time of struggle , for us , for themselves.
This is my phone call for every other student who is fighting , will be fighting and right now on 24 July 2026 for the students across the border fighting for basic accountability.
Hello! Dear fello-
let me be honest here , i felt a little scared calling out on you people as ‘fellows’ my voice stumbled , cracked and shivered. Am I actually allowed to call you fellows? or someone from a huge crowd will scream back at me ‘‘ What is the need of attending a call and listening to a person of another country? ’’ but i believe your are an educated person if you are reading this article so i gathered the courage again.
Hello Dear Fellows! am i audible to you all?
i am someone who belongs to Pakistan . I have been born on this land and ever since i have been living here. I have never seen a bomb. I wish i never had to. Neither saw any of my family members blowing up in the air with the fragments of it. All i ever was capable of doing , is to cry and write on such topics. I have seen a mother carrying the parts of her baby on social media , i cried with her but i was unable to write anything on it not because i ran out of words but because I realized that i haven’t felt the pain of her and i was scared what if i can’t find enough heavy words to justify her pain. I did like and reposted such posts on social media . Does that count?Being sad, reposting a reel, scrolling again, laughing at the next one, putting the phone away, having lunch with your family, and falling asleep beneath a warm blanket.
this time after seeing the protests i again felt pain and rage. However this time i had to scream harder for my voice to meet the echos of other voices . WHY? because i am a student as well. Ever from my childhood i am sure i have seen Indian students more in my feed rather than any other. I have studied with them , learnt from them , even followed their timetable for an exam . I have rushed to search the same name— Physics Wallah— when got stuck on a concept . I solved the same numericals related to Newton’s law which maybe in your country , another student sitting in some corner, was doing. I know what is hard work . I have stayed up countless nights while biting nails and studying for that one exam which will decide my future as it did yours. I have seen the faces of my fellows and cousins after the confirmation of a leaked paper, i have seen them shouting when authorities were not taking the responsibility. I have seen people of my country working hard for 8-9 years straight and still being unemployed because there weren’t enough seats. Their seat was occupied by the son of a rich man. I am like all of you. Whenever i tried to raise my voice against the government , my elders snatched it from me saying ‘‘Corruption is because of the blunders made by the people on a small scale’’ what was the blunder of a student? that he studied for the whole night while everyone was sleeping in peace? that he studied for years in the same corner? that he woke up with same dedication everyday? that he gave up on his artistic dreams because there was no future for them?
There were many times when i thought i will be making enough effort and leave my precious land not because i hate it . who can hate their own country? but because i will be the part of rebellious act. Rebellion against the people who sold my land to corruption , the people who destroyed every single field whether it was economic , social or political systems. Because this is the definition of a REBELLIOUS ACT. isn’t it?
I , along with other fellows were given the tag of ‘rebellious people’ and ‘dheshat-gard’ with the same tone you guys were called ‘aatangwadi’. Because of the same reason— we asked about our rights. My teachers told me the definition of democracy as ‘‘it is the government of the people , for the people , by the people’’. I was always enchanted by the repetition of ‘people’ in this sentence there was nothing like government of the ‘kings’ or ‘demons’ or ‘tyrant’ . Neither for the ‘terrorist’. Nor by the ‘ beggars’ or ‘cockroaches’.
My blood boils every time i see a post, and no i never cared if the song behind it was ‘Vande Matram’ that was never the topic. I wanted you all to know that we are with you not because i am a Hindu , Muslim or a Sikh but because a student who understands it all. I have always told my friends that Gen-z is a generation with a spine , blood and lots of rage towards change. I am glad its all starting. Perhaps this is what our generation was meant to do. We are you and you are us. We solved the same equations. We feared the same examinations. We dreamed beneath the same sky. When one student asks for dignity,
another student understands—
no matter which side of the border they were born on.
